Sometimes when we are feeling sad and low, doing kind things for others in need can help boost serotonin levels (the feel good hormone) and we feel uplifted as a result. Acts of kindness and/or caring for others with both people and animals is equally effective. A simple smile, a kind word, a random kind act are great low energy methods to start when our energy levels are depleted. Adopting a rescue, volunteering, even for a day, with an organization that helps children, families or individuals in need are all activities that can help improve mood and motivate us in our own journeys. What can you do today to make someone else’s word brighter?
